TRW announces the strategic appointments of Jessica Lankston as Senior Project Architect and Specifications Writer, Zach Taras as Marketing Manager, and Amber Couse as Administrative Assistant. These new hires reinforce the firm’s commitment to enhancing project outcomes, client outreach, and strengthening the operational foundation necessary to support its growing portfolio of historic preservation and adaptive reuse projects.

Jessica Lankston: Senior Project Architect to Support Project Performance & Technical Excellence

TRW Architects is proud to welcome Jessica Lankston as our new Senior Project Architect and Specifications Writer. With nearly 15 years of architectural and historic preservation experience, Jessica brings deep technical expertise and a strong track record of elevating project performance for clients such as the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC, SUNY Oswego, The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, VA, The Rotunda at the University of Virginia, and the National Park Service. She will play a key role in developing comprehensive specifications and ensuring constructability across all phases of design and construction.


Jessica is a graduate of the University of Virginia, where she earned a Master of Architectural History along with a certificate in historic preservation. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Texas Tech University. She is an active member of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) and the American Institute of Architects (AIA).

Zach Taras: New Marketing Manager to Enhance Firm Presence

Zach Taras joins TRW as Marketing Manager, bringing an extensive background in professional content creation and digital communications. With over 4 years of experience as a Content Writer for high-volume, rapid-turnaround publications such as HowStuffWorks.com and Masterclass.com, Zach is highly skilled at producing original written content, performing editorial revisions, and ensuring accuracy and clarity in complex subjects.


His expertise extends beyond writing. Zach is proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and Photoshop, and is fluent in all major social media platforms. These technical skills will be crucial for developing visually compelling marketing materials, managing the firm’s digital presence, and effectively communicating the historical and technical narratives of TRW’s preservation work. Zach is a graduate of Ithaca College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Film Production.

Amber Couse: Administrative Assistant to Bolster Core Operations

Amber Couse joins the team as an Administrative Assistant, bringing a decade of dedicated administrative, clerical, and financial experience. Her operational efficiency will be invaluable in supporting TRW’s project managers and partners.


Amber has three years of experience with QuickBooks and two years specifically in payroll and bookkeeping, including preparing bank deposits, entering client payments, processing payroll liabilities, and reconciling bank accounts. She also brings over 10 years of experience in administrative and receptionist roles, handling tasks such as filing, scheduling, data entry, and utilizing MS Office and Excel to streamline daily operations. In addition, Amber has provided technical support for virtual trainings, prepared detailed reports for government agencies, and managed large-scale documentation, ensuring smooth workflows and reliable operational support.


The addition of Jessica, Zach, and Amber marks a significant investment in TRW’s internal infrastructure and project work, ensuring that the firm remains focused on delivering award-winning preservation and adaptive reuse solutions for clients across the country.
