Modern innovation with respect for a deep history
TRW’s transformative renovation of Alumni Hall at SUNY Oneonta has been featured in Education Snapshots, highlighting its forward-thinking design and commitment to sustainability.
Originally built in 1960 and repurposed as a campus office space in the 1970s, Alumni Hall has now been reimagined to house the School of Economics and Business alongside the Advancement and Alumni Offices. The renovation prioritizes collaborative learning, with a central hub of educational spaces enclosed by glass partitions to foster openness and engagement. Reconfigured entryways and pathways improve accessibility, creating a more welcoming and intuitive experience for students and faculty.
A key sustainability feature of the project is its geothermal heating system, which utilizes wells beneath the surrounding parking lot to reduce environmental impact. Alumni Hall is currently pursuing LEED Platinum ID+C Certification—if achieved, it will be the first building on campus to earn this prestigious distinction.
TRW is honored to contribute to the evolution of SUNY Oneonta’s campus, blending modern innovation with a deep respect for the institution’s history.
