Saving The Wellington: A Community-Led Preservation Effort Gains National Attention

The Wellington Hotel in Pine Hill, NY is one of the last remaining grand resorts of the Catskills and has just been named one of America’s 11 Most Endangered Historic Places by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. This national recognition underscores the urgent need to stabilize and restore this historic structure before it's lost.

We are proud to be part of the dedicated team working to bring new life to the Wellington. In partnership with local residents, RUPCO, and other community leaders, the vision includes affordable housing, a local grocery store, and a gathering place for the town.

The Wellington isn’t just a building, it’s the heart of Pine Hill’s past and future. With momentum and community support growing, this endangered treasure may soon become a model for rural Main Street revitalization.
