Preserve New York recently awarded a $20,000 grant to the Shaker Heritage Society to fund a Historic Structure Report of the 1858 Washhouse.
The study, which TRW will conduct, is a critical step in the development of a capital project to rehabilitate the surviving buildings at “America’s First Shaker Settlement.” The Preserve New York program is a grant partnership between the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) and the Preservation League.
