Thaler Reilly Wilson Architecture & Preservation, LLP (TRW) is proud to announce that Ahmed Mohamedali has earned his New York architectural license.

The achievement marks the culmination of a two-year process that included successfully completing the Architect Registration Examination (ARE) and represents a significant milestone in Ahmed’s journey as an international architect.

Ahmed has been practicing architecture since 2007, building experience across four countries and a diverse range of project types. His career has included work in Sudan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States, with projects spanning commercial, residential, healthcare, and higher education.

Since joining TRW in April 2021, Ahmed has brought this broad perspective to the firm’s work, with a particular focus on historic preservation and the renovation of existing buildings. His approach is grounded in an appreciation for the distinct challenges and opportunities presented by each building.

For Ahmed, earning his U.S. license carries particular personal significance. As an international architect with a diverse educational and cultural background, the accomplishment represents both the continuation of his professional journey and a new chapter in his career in the United States.

Ahmed’s work at TRW includes the Greene County Courthouse, which he led from inception through late-stage closeout and client handoff. The project is scheduled to be photographed in fall 2026 and will be featured in upcoming TRW promotional materials.

Ahmed holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Khartoum in Sudan and master’s degrees from Eastern Mediterranean University in Cyprus and the University at Albany (UAlbany). He also worked with UAlbany’s Office of Campus Planning.
