The University at Albany has many campus buildings which were constructed before the enactment of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in 1990. SUNY at Albany and the SUCF have retained TRW to enhance accessibility across its campuses.

The project aims to improve accessibility at the basement level of the Academic Podium, facilitating indoor connectivity between various buildings. Upgrades include door hardware enhancements, power openers, and door replacements to increase ease of access.
