A Decade of Design: TRW Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Caroga Arts at UPH

Oct 28, 2025

TRW Celebrates 10 Years in Business

TRW capped off its 10th anniversary year by hosting a special celebration of creative collaboration with the Caroga Arts Collective. The event, held at the beautifully restored Universal Preservation Hall (UPH), brought together 200 guests, including key clients and design partners.

The evening was a dual celebration: honoring TRW's decade of excellence in historic preservation and recognizing the power of arts and architecture to revitalize communities.

State Recognition for Community Impact

A highlight of the evening was the presentation of an Official New York State Assembly Citation by Assemblyperson Carrie Woerner. The citation formally recognized TRW's ten years of dedication to historic preservation and its significant contributions to cultural and economic development across the region.

"Our work with the Caroga Arts Collective exemplifies what TRW strives for: taking cherished landmarks and giving them a sustainable, vibrant future," said partner Mark Thaler. "Universal Preservation Hall itself is a testament to this, and it was a privilege to gather many of our closest partners and supporters in a building that is a cornerstone of our firm's portfolio."

Preserving the Past, Designing the Future

The program highlighted two key partnership projects that define TRW's architectural mission:

  • Universal Preservation Hall (UPH): TRW’s work transformed the historic High Victorian Gothic church into a cutting-edge, 700-seat performance and community venue. The event underscored the success of this adaptive reuse project, which has become a cultural anchor for Saratoga Springs.

  • Sherman's Park Amphitheater: Attendees were given a future vision presentation on the ongoing work with Caroga Arts, including TRW's master plan for the revitalization and adaptive reuse of the historic Sherman's Amusement Park. The plans include the design of a new lake-view amphitheater, set to further establish the Caroga Lake area as an Adirondack cultural destination.

The Harmony of Architecture and Art

The evening culminated in a live musical performance curated by the Caroga Arts Collective, featuring the renowned Eddie Barbash (founding member of Jon Batiste & Stay Human) and the KASA Quartet. The performance, a fusion of jazz and classical styles, perfectly symbolized the harmonious blend of historic preservation and modern artistry championed by both organizations.

TRW looks forward to building on these 10 years of success and continuing its passionate work to ensure that the landmarks of today become the cultural engines of tomorrow.
